The Sound of A Hearbeat...

Greg and I went to the doctor again on the 15th to have another ultrasound since on my first visit they had a hard time seeing the little one. We were just excited to get another peak at our growing baby but were so surprised when we got so much more than that. They told us we were going to have to do a different kind of ultrasound because of they way my uterus is positioned and of course we went along with it. As we were watching the screen we were startled by a sound, the sound of a heartbeat! At first I didn't think that could possibly be it, it was so fast and strong. I then realized that God is pretty incredible, to think that something so tiny, 3/4 of an inch mind you, could make such a sound. Greg and I were so blessed to be able to hear our baby's heartbeat way before people normally do! I think it really helped make it more real to us. I have been feeling pretty good give and take a day here and there so it almost felt like it wasn't real yet... It was such a beautiful moment to be holding the love of my life's hand and hear such an incredible sound. I can't wait for all of the other moments to come. Like the first time the baby moves or kicks and of course finding out just exactly what we're having! The nursery is finally emptied and cleaned, but it looks so empty. I seriously can't wait to be able to start decorating it because as of now it is just antagonizing me!
